About Our Firm
Hance & Srinivasan is a Louisville-based personal injury firm focused on cases involving medical negligence, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and the full range of accidents and harm that change people’s lives. We are a small firm by design. That is not a limitation. It is how we ensure that every case we accept receives the full attention it requires.
Nearly every client who comes to us was sent by someone who has seen what we can do. Another attorney. A doctor. A judge. A former client. That is not a marketing strategy. It is the consequence of four decades of showing up, doing the work, and treating every case like something is actually at stake. Because it always is.
What We Believe
Most of our clients come to us because they want to know what happened. Not just what the case is worth. They want to understand the event that changed their life, who is responsible, and why no one has told them the truth yet.
That is the job. Not just securing compensation, though we pursue every dollar the law allows. The job is uncovering what actually occurred, building the case that proves it, and standing beside the client until the matter is resolved. We do not hand cases off. We do not rush to settle before the picture is complete. We do not take every case that comes through the door.
We take the ones we believe in. And when we take one, we build it as if it is going to trial.
| “We don’t chase clicks. We earn referrals. That distinction defines everything about how we operate.” |
How We Work
Hance & Srinivasan operates differently from most personal injury firms in Kentucky. We do not advertise on billboards. We do not run television spots. We do not measure success by volume of cases. We measure it by what we achieve for the clients we represent.
We advance all litigation costs. Our fee comes from the recovery. If we do not win, you owe us nothing. That is not a promotional line. It is the only model we have ever used.
What Makes This Firm Different
Michael Hance has been practicing personal injury law in Kentucky since 1980. He has served as President of the Kentucky Justice Association, received the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating, been named to Kentucky Super Lawyers every year since the list was published, and was awarded the Peter Perlman Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award in 2011, voted on by his peers across the state.
Chandrika Srinivasan holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology in addition to her law degree. In cases involving medical negligence, pharmaceutical injury, traumatic brain injury, birth trauma, and the biological mechanisms of serious harm, that scientific background is not incidental. It changes what we can prove, how we challenge opposing experts, and what the case is worth.
Together, they have built a practice that operates almost entirely on referrals, serves clients across Kentucky and beyond through co-counsel relationships, and has never once confused volume with value.

Our Commitment
If we take your case, you will hear from us directly. You will know what is happening and why. You will be told the truth about the strength of your claim, the realistic range of outcomes, and what we are going to do about it. We do not sugarcoat the odds. We do not make promises we cannot keep. And we do not walk away from cases when they get hard.
