Professional Biography – Chandrika Srinivasan

Chandrika moved to Louisville, KY from India in 1991 to pursue higher education after completing her Masters at the University of Madras, India. She obtained her Ph.D. from the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology and her law degree from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. 

Raised in a household that upheld integrity, respect, accountability, and service, Chandrika believes in treating others with kindness while striving for excellence in her endeavors. She has a strong work ethic, effective leadership and a genuine commitment to helping others. Strong family values coupled with her educational foundation continue to guide her personal and professional journey.

Throughout her career and personal life, Chandrika has achieved several meaningful accomplishments both professionally and personally. Chandrika is actively involved in community service and regularly volunteers in community outreach initiatives, mentoring, and programs that promote education, health, diversity and community well-being. Giving back is an important part of Chandrika’s mission to create positive and lasting change.

Professional Career and Recognition

Chandrika started her legal career as a law clerk for her now partner, Michael Hance.  She attributes a big part of her professional growth to Michael’s guidance during her formative years as a young lawyer. She assisted Michael as a law clerk when he represented the family of a teenager who died following a tonsillectomy and was one of the lawyers in the team that obtained a verdict against a pharmacological company for the death of a new mother. Chandrika’s educational background ably equips her to handle complex cases including medical care, skilled nursing care, as well as general personal injury matters with the necessary skill and knowledge. 

Chandrika is the President-Elect of the Kentucky Justice Association (KJA), past member of the Kentucky Bar Association (KBA) Ethics Committee and Citizens for Better Judges. She is a speaker at the KBA Convention and KJA programs.

Chandrika is admitted to practice before the Kentucky Bar AssociationU.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Personal Life

Chandrika deeply values family, friends and community. Other than practicing law, she enjoys volunteering, gardening, traveling, exercising and practicing yoga and Indian traditional dancing.
